Resources for State House Advocacy

New Hampshire residents have the right to voice their opinions on proposed House and Senate bills, however many are unaware of this and were never taught how to make their voices heard. This page will help explain to new activists how to take actions to have their voice heard on the bills that matter most to them.

To learn more about how a bill becomes law, how to use the gencourt website to find your legislators, and social media activism check out our Regional Democracy Teams: Member Toolkit.

Writing and Presenting Testimony

For bills that you want to provide more context and feedback for you can submit testimony. Your testimony can be written and submitted with your online sign-in forms or you can attend the bill's hearing and provide your testimony in person. For more information on how to submit testimony watch the recording of our Testimony Workshop.
