Introducing Open Democracy Action's...

Practicing Democracy Project

Are you itching to do something to make a difference? Can you just imagine what our world would be like if the promise of democracy were real for every one of us?   What if all Granite-Staters could have a say in the decisions that impact their lives regarding housing, education, healthcare, and economic well-being? Let’s work together and make that happen; maybe not all at once, but over time if we all work together. We invite you to join with Open Democracy Action as we work to restore our democracy so it will work for all of us.

We have developed a 20-minute zoom presentation entitled “Practicing Democracy Project”. We are offering this program to community groups across NH to encourage and increase civic awareness and active civic participation. Our program includes a video entitled “Two Seats of Democracy,” professionally produced in front of the NH State House. This video features everyday people on the sidewalks of Concord sharing comments of how NH legislation, or lack of legislation, has negatively impacted the quality of life for too many people in NH. They were then asked by the interviewer how these issues could be resolved if only their state legislators would work for the benefit of constituents instead of working exclusively for wealthy donors, corporate entities, or political parties.

Our presentation will show how NH folks can become active participants in our democratic process by joining our weekly, online action groups. We will keep you abreast of current pro-voter legislation and grassroots efforts to end the corrupting influence of Big Money in politics. You will see first-hand how ODA works in unison with other grassroots groups so that all voices can be heard. We will give you suggestions and guidance for steps you can take each week to promote pro-voter legislation.

Preview our “Two Seats of Democracy” video below.

If after viewing the video, you know of a community group whose members might be interested in our presentation, or learning more about our project, have them contact Doreen our Admin Assistant, to reserve a date and time for our PDP presentation: [email protected] or call the ODA office  603 715-8197 x3.

We invite you to join our weekly, online, regional team meetings. As our numbers grow, so will our ability to help restore and defend our democracy. Together we will make a difference!

If zoom meetings are not your thing, you can go directly online at your leisure to our Open Democracy Team Weekly Action Page where you can choose suggested activities that interest you. If your time is limited, please consider making a small monthly donation of 5, 10, or 15 dollars a month or whatever amount you choose so that ODA can continue to do the work of protecting democracy and our freedom.

Once you sign up below, you will receive an email with how to sign up for a Regional Democracy Team, and/or how to make a small monthly donation. Please share this message of hope with your family, friends, neighbors, and on your social media. Thank you!
