Chair Jeff Taylor 

Jeff Taylor is the former New Hampshire State Director for End Citizens United and Let America Vote. He has worked on numerous local, state, and federal campaigns in New Hampshire and graduated from the University of Rochester in 2018. He currently resides in Manchester, NH.

Vice-Chair Bob Perry

Bob Perry is retired Court Reporter for NH Superior Court and member of the Board of Trustees at the Rochester Opera House. As a state Representative, Bob served on the House Election Law Committee and the Citizen-Funded Election Task Force. He currently resides in Strafford, NH.

Treasurer Beverly Cotton

Beverly Cotton is a formerly registered nurse specializing in critical care who later pursued accounting with an emphasis on fraud and technical solutions. She served as Associate Vice President of Student Finance at SNHU and as a Client Success Manager at Ellucian. He currently resides in Weare, NH.

Secretary Linda Bundy  

Linda Bundy is a retired educator who worked for twelve years as a paraprofessional before becoming certified in elementary and special education. Volunteering with Open Democracy Action provides Linda with meaningful ways to work toward a democracy that truly serves all people. He currently resides in Antrim, NH.

Bob Emory

Bob Emory has been a New Hampshire resident for more than 40 years. Before retirement, Bob was a paramedic and volunteer firefighter. Through his work at Open Democracy, Bob hopes to help build a democracy that protects the interests of all Granite Staters. He currently resides in Barnstead, NH.

Ben Radcliffe

Ben (he/him) lives in Keene NH.  Ben’s experiences delivering meals for seniors and volunteering for soup kitchens during the early pandemic inspired him to want to learn more about food security and the environment. He is a graduate Social Justice and Sustainability MS in Environmental Studies at Antioch University! Ben is a huge fan of poetry, gardening. 

Krysten Evans

Director of Policy and Advocacy for ABLE NH  who is passion for advancing equity, justice, and inclusion through innovative policy solutions and community-driven strategies. She  seamlessly bridge the gap between grassroots movements and high-level policymaking, cultivating alliances, shaping public opinion, and influencing decision-makers to bring bold visions to life.

 

Staff

Olivia Zink, Executive Director

Olivia Zink has been Open Democracy Executive Director since 2016, she has worked as a community organizer in New Hampshire since 2000 and previously served as Program Director for the Coalition for Open Democracy. She has worked on a broad range of campaigns for economic and social justice throughout New Hampshire. Masters from SNHU and undergrad from UNH in Durham. 

Doreen Desmarais, Administrator

Doreen has more than 30 years experience in office administration across the nonprofit, educational, labor union, and private sectors. She currently manages administration, finance, and event planning for Open Democracy.

Sam Cassin, High School Voter Registration Coordinator

Sam Cassin is a lifelong New Hampshire resident and Saint Anselm College graduate who brings organizing and youth engagement experience to Open Democracy’s voter registration efforts.

Kaylie Efstratiou, Communication & Development Coordinator

Kaylie Efstratiou is a graduate student studying Political Science at the University of New Hampshire and previously earned undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Communication. She is passionate about social justice, civic engagement, and advocacy work across New Hampshire.

Ursula Maldonado, Age Strong Coordinator
Ursula has been a caregiver, admin, and volunteer for over thirty years. She's been involved with school PTOs, the New Hampshire Historical Society, Crisis Center of Central New Hampshire, and League of Women Voters. She comes to her role having supported elderly relatives and experiencing just how difficult routine situations can be -- even when a family has every advantage and everything goes right. Ursula is deeply committed to helping voters who face barriers that limit their ability to participate in the Democratic process. At every possible opportunity, she spends time with her family, does needlework, and tries to keep up with her dogs.

Sarah Ortiz, Voter Education Coordinator
Sarah is a Public Policy Fellow at Open Democracy, where she contributes to legislative research and advocacy focused on protecting and strengthening voting rights in New Hampshire. Her work is informed by advocacy for domestic violence survivors and a commitment to ensuring public systems serve those most impacted by them. She has testified before state lawmakers on issues ranging from voting access to survivor protections, bringing both policy analysis and lived experience to her work. Sarah previously worked in public-facing environmental policy with the California Air Resources Board and is currently pursuing her Master of Public Policy at Northeastern University. She is especially interested in the intersection of democratic access, survivor justice, and equitable civic participation. She believes democracy must be accessible, safe, and responsive to all communities.

Emma Repici, Summer Organizing Fellow
Emma is a Summer Organizing Fellow at Open Democracy. She is a rising senior at Boston College studying Political Science with a minor in Management and Leadership. In addition to her role at Open Democracy, she is also a swim instructor and enjoys spending time with family and friends. Prior to joining Open Democracy, she has also served as a congressional intern in the district office of Congresswoman Lori Trahan. She's especially interested in the intersection of democratic access, communications strategy, and media.
