We are excited to announce our 9th nonpartisan Democracy Town Hall Series event, and we welcome businessman and philanthropist Tom Steyer.    Mr. Steyer is founder and former co-senior-managing partner of Farallon Capital, and co-founder of OneCalifornia Bank (now Beneficial State Bank), a community development bank.     Mr. Steyer is also founder of NextGen America, a nonprofit which works on climate action, among other issues.

The event takes place on Saturday, Dec. 21 at 6 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 58 Lowell St., Nashua, NH 03064


Our event will focus on the candidate's positions on issues relating to our Republic's democracy, including:

  • Modernizing voting

  • Public funding of elections

  • Gerrymandering & Fair Voting Districts

  • Citizens United & Dark Money

  • A 28th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution

  • SuperPACs and the LLC Loophole

  • The “Revolving Door” of Legislator-to-Lobbyist influence

  • The Electoral College & Winner-take-all elections

  • Ranked Choice Voting

  • And other democracy-related questions you might ask.

As a nonpartisan event, we ask that you keep partisan rhetoric to a minimum. Preserving our Republic by fixing our democracy is something we can all agree on!
